Founded in 2014, by Jim Schanstra, who birthed the Florida Rod Shop Inc. out of a profound passion for Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Resto-Rods, Exotics. Moreover, there was an undeniable need for a high-caliber automotive shop in the area. Therefore, Jim’s philosophy is simple yet profound, “We have staffed our shop with highly skilled technicians who eat, breathe, and live cars! We do the best work because we love what we do!”

History

Over the years, what started as a labor of love has evolved into a beacon for automotive excellence. By 2018, the Florida Rod Shop expanded its horizons, blossoming into a full-service facility that prides itself on comprehensive ground-up restorations, intricate metal fabrication, a fully equipped machine shop, as well as complete mechanical and electrical repairs – right down to the finest details in stereos and power adders. Additionally, we’ve also mastered creating custom upholstery and convertible tops, tailoring each project to our client’s unique tastes and desires.

Nestled in Wesley Chapel, Florida, just off Old Pasco Road, our cutting-edge facility spans 6,000 sq. ft., fully air-conditioned, and stocked with top-of-the-line equipment.
